Software updates for Maxwell are available using the "yum" update manager found on each Maxwell platform.

  1. Not all interfaces are created

    Sometimes the underlying Linux system fails to create all of the names for the network interfaces.  If you open a terminal window and run the command ifconfig -a you will see some of the "eth" interfaces but not the full set of "eth0", "eth1", and "eth2".  Instead you may see one or more with names beginning with _tmp.

    This is a bug in the Fedora system.  It is often caused by a network cable that is not fully seated into the Maxwell box or into the plug at the far end.
